Ginger from Nigeria: Exporter, Supplier, Shipping

Sun dried Nigerian ginger from Kaduna and southern Kaduna states, prized for its high volatile oil content and strong pungency.

Nigerian ginger is one of the most sought after origins globally because of its high oleoresin and volatile oil profile. We source across the Kaduna belt, drying and grading to the format your line requires.

We offer split, whole, and buyer specified cuts. Every consignment is fumigated, tested for moisture, and inspected against contract specification before loading.

Buyer FAQ

Questions buyers ask about Nigerian ginger.

What is the difference between split and whole Nigerian ginger?

Split ginger has been sliced longitudinally for faster drying. It typically carries slightly lower volatile oil but is cheaper. Whole ginger retains stronger aromatic profile and is preferred for extraction.

What are typical shipment sizes?

One 20 ft container carries roughly 10 to 12 MT of ginger in 25 kg jute bags. Full 40 ft containers are available for larger contracts.

Is the ginger fumigated?

Yes. All export lots are fumigated per destination country phytosanitary requirements, with certificates supplied.

When is Nigerian ginger in season?

The main harvest runs November through March. Storage stock is available year round against confirmed contracts.
